We understand a corner as the meeting point of two lines perpendicular to each other. This meeting forms an angle with one side concave (the one that is on the inside) and a convex side (the one that is on the outside). The corner can be present not only in the theory geometric if not in many spaces, situations and places of real life.
One of the cases in which the word corner is used the most is when it refers to the end of a block or a street in space urban. The corner is the point where two sidewalks or streets perpendicular to each other meet. The corners of urban space usually present a edification different from the rest of the blocks since it must end in a point or flat (in which case it is known as ochava). The corners are also usually one of the most attractive points on the block since they can be visible from all three points remaining that form the grid and that is why its decoration is always usually more striking than the rest of the block.
In terms of road safety, corners are always the places where the most danger one can find as that is where cars traveling in direction contrary are found and where they can be taken by the force of impact.
The corner is also very important when it comes to sports. Thus, the corners are the tips of the courts or spaces where the game takes place and normally, the exit of the ball through that space means some type of fault or particular measure. This is especially visible in football, in which case the ball going out of the corner means a corner or a special free kick.
