Swimming is one of the most important aquatic sports disciplines, currently accepted by the International Olympic Committee as a sport official. Swimming is a sport that takes place in Water, without any type of artificial assistance and can be carried out in closed spaces such as pools as well as in the open, in large lakes and rivers. Currently, swimming is considered one of the most complete, effective and useful sports when it comes to developing a good physical condition and having a solid respiratory and muscular system.
Swimming like discipline sporting is carried out through four main styles: the crawl style, the butterfly, the chest style and the back style. In sports competitions, races of only one of these styles can be organized as well as races in which swimmers must subsequently go through all the styles. In the same way, swimming races can be completed individually or in groups through posts. Perfectly develop these four styles, in addition to raising the velocity and the endurance, they are all goals for any swimmer professional.
Swimming is, as said, one of the most complete and safe sports that can be. First of all, it is perhaps one of the few who put in functioning the whole body: all four limbs at the same time, as well as the respiratory and circulatory system, muscular flexibility, endurance and other elements. To continue, the aquatic space allows the body to support itself without forcing it to make great efforts that can eventually cause later pain (as it happens with other sports).
However, swimming can also present certain risks such as a not entirely conducive environment, complications of temperature, drowning, affection to certain chemicals found in swimming pools, blows and others that may have to do with swimming in open spaces.
