The term 'fabric' refers to those materials used to compose different garments clothing as well as other utilitarian items (curtains, tapestries, blankets, bedding, etc). Fabric is a product made from natural or artificial fibers that are worked, woven or woven in many different ways and that can then be dyed, decorated, stamped or embroidered with infinite elements and styles to result in a unique and exclusive type of cloth.
We can describe to the fabric as a flexible element, of greater or lesser softness, flat that is made primarily with the aim of dressing and sheltering the human body. The fabric is in all cases made from a long process and complex that part of the collection of fruits and vegetable fibers, continues in the tissue or network of them, and ends in the design from the use of tinctures or different decorations. Today there are also fabrics that are made with synthetic fibers and that adapt to the needs of today's human being much better than other fabrics.
Depending on the type of work that must be done to obtain the specific fabric, the price of the final product will vary more or less grade. In this sense, fabrics such as cotton, linen or denim require less delicate and dedicated work. therefore they can be mass-produced much more easily, thus becoming cheaper and accessible. Other fabrics such as velvet, satin, silk, chiffon, lace or satin are always more expensive and much more exclusive.
The fabrics have some similarities and differences with other products also used by humans to dress that are of origin animal (such as leather or fur). First, they are permeable to Water, are flexible and permeable to air. However, fabrics are generally lighter than leather or fur, they can resist dyeing and decoration processes much easier, they are more elastic and adapt better to the shapes of the Body.
