The term 'executive' is a qualifying adjective that is used to designate certain types of actions, decisions or groups within a society. Thus, the executive condition is related to a certain relevance over others.
The executive term understood within the business environment
The concept of 'executive' is especially common and widely used in the business, employment and work space. This is so because in each company, institution or work space a certain hierarchy of power and functioning is built that aims to establish different functions in different hands.
Among the numerous roles that can be fulfilled in a company, for example, we find the various employees but also the executives, that is, those people who have in their hands some type of power or hierarchy over others and who have functions of executing or making decisions about certain phenomena. In general, the executive sectors of a company are usually the authorities, the most powerful people, those who take action, who distribute the resources or the means of production, etc.
The Executive Branch as part of a complex system of government
Another space in which it is common to hear the term 'executive' is in the politics when we talk about division of powers. One of the three most common powers in the republics of different parts of the West is the Executive power, usually occupied by a president or by whoever governs and makes the most important decisions about a territory.
The executive branch, unlike what happens with the legislative power or even with the judiciary, it is the one in charge of the execution of policies, measures, changes, etc. in a territory over which its power has reach and over a certain population. Although the idea of division of powers arises to balance the different officials who hold public positions, in many regions of the planet it is often understood that whoever holds power The Executive is the only one that governs and in this case we are talking about presidential systems in which the other powers are annulled or lose their place in the face of the force of who occupies the first judiciary.
Decision execution as an important part of an entrepreneurial spirit
Nowadays, it is very common to find material and specialists in matters such as improving the self-esteem, change the things that you are not satisfied with in your life, etc.
In these cases, it is very common to speak of the need for a spirit or an executive attitude to make decisions that can improve our quality of life. This would imply getting out of the routine and having enough determination to execute and put into practice everything that was ever dreamed of.
