Located on the continent of Asia, Lebanon is one of the countries that border the eastern coast of the Mediterranean. Its land geographical limits are shared with Israel and Syria. This small country of only a little more than ten thousand square kilometers and of almost four and a half million inhabitants is today an Arab country, with more than ninety percent of its population belonging to this ethnic group. The capital of Lebanon, and its most important city, is the beautiful city of Beirut which is located on the Mediterranean coast, in the central region of the country.
Lebanon is organized today through the government parliamentarian of a republic in which the president is the authority more important. The territory It is divided into six major spaces or governorates (North, Beirut, Mount Lebanon, South, Nabatieh and Beqaa) which are in turn divided into smaller districts such as Rashaya, Zahle, Batroun, Tripoli, Aley, Sidon, Tire, Chouf and Matn between others. The
economy of this country is based on the production of raw materials produced by agriculture thanks to the high fertility of the soils. Some of its products are citrus, peaches, apples, dried fruits, etc. However, in recent times, this country has greatly developed its tourism sector, attracting visitors from all over the world who are looking for luxurious and beautiful beaches. Finally, trade also currently occupies a significant part of the Lebanese economy.The geography and the weather Lebanon are very particular due to their privileged position on the shores of the Mediterranean, with a temperate climate, moderate and cool winds and quite hot summers. Due to the thermal amplitude generated by the mountain ranges existing in the territory, while the summers are high temperature and dry climate, winters can present snowfalls and temperatures below zero. Currently, a portion of territory on the border between Lebanon and Israel is under dispute.
