In general terms, through the word boiling it refers to the action and effect of boiling some liquid, for example, water, whose main manifestation will be that of the production of bubbles in that liquid by the direct action of heat. In ordinary or usage language colloquial The word boil is often used to refer to boiling, that is, it is the synonym most used to describe this action.
Now, in more formal terms, boiling is said to be that physical process by which a liquid passes from its state to a gaseous state. This change or transformation occurs as a consequence of the temperature of the liquid that reached the force of a given pressure what is known as the boiling point. It is designated by the concept of boiling point when the temperature of the vapor pressure equals the pressure of the medium that surrounds the liquid.
Boiling, moreover, is considered as the reverse process, contrary to the process of condensation, which occurs when a gaseous substance passes to the liquid state, whereas, although very frequently both concepts are used interchangeably, boiling has nothing to do with evaporation, they are synonymous, because basically evaporation implies a process of gradual succession and does not require heating of the entire mass as if boiling requires it to is produced.
As we mentioned above, water is the element that we most commonly convert to a gaseous state. It has its boiling point at 100 ° C, as long as it is under pressure similar to that of sea level.
Higher up, the atmospheric pressure decreases and then the water will require a lower temperature to reach the boiling point. And when the water boils, the temperature, right there, will stop increasing, generating rapid evaporation.
On the other hand, the term of boiling is usually used to describe or refer to the state of agitation that a person or a group goes through, as a consequence of some event with consequences, both negative and positive. For example, the suppression of some labor rights can provoke a boiling state among the employees affected by this measure, while the triumph of a team in some sport it can awaken a joyous boil among its supporters and fans.
