The term foreign can be used in two senses. On the one hand, to designate everything that has a foreign origin, that is, different from the place that is taken as reference. For example, when we refer to a material, an object, a thing that has been manufactured in another place in the world, different from the one we belong to ourselves or to whom we recognize as a national, we almost always use the word foreigner to say that this or that thing belongs to a Nation or to a culture different from ours.
On the other hand, another of the also very widespread uses of this term is the one that refers and uses to designate that person who is not part of the community politics to which I belong. When a person who belongs to another suddenly appears in our environment country or when on the street we run into someone who is in plain sight note it is not part of our culture and traditions and that above it is expressed in another language, to that person in the language current is designated as the foreigner.
Regarding the latter, in almost all the nations of the world, since the passage, transit and visit of foreigners are very common, there are very specific regulations that regulate the entry and exit of these from a country, as well as the possibility of achieving or not the citizenship from another country in addition to the country of birth. To this kind of right it is known as immigration law. In some cases, marital unions, uninterrupted residence for more than two years, among others issues, are usually decisive when someone can achieve citizenship in another country that is not the yours.
Although most of the constitutions of nations and some international treaties recognize freedoms, rights and obligations of the foreigners when they are not in their countries, in recent years, especially in Europe as a result of the fantastic economic panacea that some places What Italy, France, Spain and Germany represented and to which many emigrants turned for this reason, these advantages and benefits began to be cut and in some more extreme cases, such as that of Italy for For example, nowadays, a foreigner who does not have his papers up to date, will simply be considered a criminal, fined and even kicked out almost from the aforementioned country.
