Naturalism for its part is a philosophical current that proposes nature above all else and as such will be the first beginning of the existing reality. According to this proposal, nature is made up of all the physical realities that exist. For example, everything natural will be real and also what is real will be natural. That is, for naturalism there is no other explanation for what exists that is alien to nature, For example, explanations that propose arguments where the supernatural prevails, are discarded flat.

There has always been a special interest of human beings on nature, to study it, to know its details in depth, among other issues. From classical Greece, the main philosophers approached the theme, although it would be from the seventeenth century that the subject took a more formal and the concept of naturalist would appear to name in a more specific way the professionals who were dedicated to studying nature.

We could name many professionals framed in the naturalistic current, meanwhile, we will mention two who dedicated themselves greatly to their studies and contributions to the subject.
The Swedish naturalist Carlos Linnaeus who was a pioneer in the field of taxonomy and for his promotion of the subject he is considered the father of what today we call ecology.

And another great representative of this group of professionals is the British naturalist Charles Darwin, who went down in history for proposing the process of natural selection who held that all species of living beings that populate our planet have evolved over time from a common ancestor and through natural selection, surviving the strongest and most capable.
