In political language, the term guideline is used frequently. Political groups, institutions or organisms state have projects that go in one direction or the other. The guideline would be the focus and direction of a set of ideas.

A global proposal has diversity of aspects and so that there is coherence between them it is necessary that they share a course. This shared sense of a draft is what happens in the guideline.

It is a cultured word and inappropriate from ordinary language. It applies to the political arena in general. In addition, lineament (the word alignment is also used) suggests that between each of the points of a proposal there is a confluence.

If a ruler affirms that the new proposals have a liberal guideline, it means that each set of measures has the same spirit or intention, they are going the same way.

It could happen that there was a deviation in the initial intentions and to re-channel a correct direction, would give a realignment, that is, a new attempt to resume the original project that for some reason has been abandoned.

The term guideline suggests to the listener that the sender knows what he wants and is committed to a defined project and that he is on the right track, he follows a line.

In the politics, the rulers communicate their purposes to the citizens. Through the different means, the president conveys different action plans to the citizen; of a social, fiscal, safety citizen, etc. And each one has its own characteristics.
