The living room is the space of the house whose name varies the most according to the language as well as to each person (can also be known as the living room, the living room, the lounge between others). It could be said that of the common parts of a house, the living room (from the English - to live-) is perhaps the most important since it is the space where the greatest variety of group situations can occur: talks, meetings, dinners, study, rest. In other words, the living room is generally equipped to allow the inhabitants of the house to enjoy different experiences.
Although this may vary with each home, in general, the living room is the first room in the house that is accessed. Among some of the basic characteristics that tend to be present in the different living rooms, we must mention comfortable, bright and relaxed spaces. To ensure such characteristics, the living room usually has a combination of individual sofas and armchairs, as well as with mouse tables, fireplaces, study desks, libraries with books and a variety of electronic equipment that allow
hearmusic, watch movies or television.The living room can be used for diversity of activities. While normally it is the space of rest and of relaxation common to all family, it can also be the environment in which visits are received and where different types of meetings are held. Depending on the preference of the inhabitants of the house, the living room will have a style more formal, informal, relaxed, casual, elegant, modern, folk or young among many others possibilities.
Finally, it can also be said that adequate lighting (natural, artificial or a combination of both), ventilation and, if possible, with a view of other spaces in order to enlarge the environment. Elements such as painting, lighting, provision of furniture and other minor decorative elements greatly contribute to the training of a comfortable living space.
