In "Señor Qutame lo Bruto", the author, through an entertaining, metaphorical and profound story of the story of Juan Salabim, manages to move us to another world where our inner self plays the role principal. As we are well told, we are all Juan Salabim, in some way we identify with him.
We currently live in a globalized world where the law of the strongest persists, to survive and stay you must compete and it is in this attempt where we lose the reality of things and go over anyone to achieve our goals, common goals in general do not have room.
On the other hand, the material is extremely important, we do not work to live, but we already live to work; obtaining luxuries and comforts is our main goal, thus forgetting what is really valuable, ourselves, our families, our true friends. We immerse ourselves in a world where we believe we are the best, avoiding all reality, and when adversity occurs that takes away everything, we we realize that we are nothing, that we have not known how to value and take advantage of the greatest treasure we possess: life, that we are "brutes", some selfish that we tend to blame others for everything that happens to us, that we do not recognize our mistakes, which prevents us from improving as people; that we have wasted time without realizing it, without being fully aware of it, that we have immersed in vices and trivialities trying to avoid the inevitable, face ourselves and the adversity.
Adversities are only obstacles that if we know how to take advantage they make us open our eyes, it is through them that we learn to live, they are what allow us cripples, they promote us to action, make us strong and allow us to fly into the unknown, discover in ourselves things that we would never have imagined existed. As human beings that we are, we have the necessary instruments to face adversity, our only job is to use them in the best way, not hope that everything reaches us in our hands, we must work on what we want to achieve, first we must help ourselves, so that others help.
