The idea of an eye that observes everything that happens is ancient and is present in various religions and cultural traditions. East symbol It is known by two names: the eye of Providence or the eye that sees everything.
In ancient egypt
In ancient Egyptian mythology, the all-seeing eye refers to the god Horus. According to legend, the gods Seth and Horus were brothers and sons of Osiris. His damaged eye was healed by the intervention of Thoth, the god of magic and science. In the Christian tradition

In freemasonry
