The word bandit is used mostly to designate that person who is dedicated to stealing, that is, it is one of the many ways of calling a thief, a criminal, although, it should be noted, that the term has been used especially to name that thief who attacks, steals, on roads or sparsely populated areas, while he usually acts in a gang or group, that is, he does not do so in a individual. He has also been known as an outlaw and robber.
Generally, the bandit acts armed and in a group, as indicated, being his objective the robbery in roads, routes and unpopulated places, mostly, where he attacks travelers and keeps the belongings of these; very strangely the bandit has committed other crimes such as kidnapping or smuggling.
Banditry It is a truly ancient and widespread practice in our culture. The causes of its appearance and diffusion are the impoverishment of some communities due to misery and injustice prevailing and that led its members to overcome them through the delinquency.
On the other hand, in the languagecolloquial, it is common for this term to be used to account for that person who is characterized by being very naughty or by presenting bad intention in her behavior, for example scam and deceives other people through a modus operandi in which it is first shown trustworthy and then wins the confidence of his future victims.
Meanwhile, when kids they stand out for committing a lot of mischief or are restless in themselves, that is, they do not stay calm and are always grabbing, touching things even though they are told not to do so, it is very common for them to be said to be bandits, to be called that way. Also, the word bandit has been used to title movies and songs that precisely tell stories of individuals who cheat, swindle or commit crimes.
