The Ballet, also know as classic dance, is a stylized stage dance that usually develops a plot.
Dance that takes place on stage and usually follows an argument
Depending on the time in question, the country and the current, the ballet may include, dance, mime, theater, people and machines.
Origins and technique
Although its origin is Italian, it will be in France when it begins to be promoted in an exceptional way from the seventeenth century.
In other words, it was born during the Renaissance Italian but it will be consolidated as a practice in France some time later.
Meanwhile, we must say that today and for a few years now, Russia is the most prominent square in ballet, with a production of certainly talented dancers joined by choreographers and the creation of great companies that tour performing all over the world. world.
The ballet technique is not at all simple but rather complex, since it will require an important concentration that allows to control the whole body. Likewise, those who dedicate themselves to ballet will need to accompany them with an entertainment that makes them gain in muscular flexibility,
coordination muscle and musical rhythm. Therefore, the ideal is to start practicing it from a young age since children internalize and automate movements with greater ease compared to adults.Meanwhile, to practice it, a comfortable outfit is always recommended, for warm-up use a fabric or leather sneaker with a split or full sole but very, very soft and easy to to adapt. Once the dancer has mastered the technique well enough, he will begin to exercise with the famous toes. The ideal age to start ballet is eight years old.
The ballet technique proposes five basic movements of the feet and arms and four positions of the dancer's body in relation to the audience, which are: ecarté, croisé, face and effacé.
With regard to preparation, two main positions predominate: the plié, which implies recollection, and the relevé, which implies raising.
Conditions that dancers must meet
In addition to the complexity that it has and that then leads to it being a dance that must be learned since childhood if you want prosper, certain physical and psychic conditions are required as well, such as thinness and stylization of the figure, coordination, elasticity, musical sensitivity, ability to withstand demands and sacrifices. The latter are essential since the dancer is required to constantly dedicate himself to his work, which implies long days of training before a presentation.
One of the associated and most used elements in ballet is the bar, a thin and long piece of wood or metal that is used as a support in the first exercises of the class.
There are different types of ballet systems, Russian, Italian, French and Danish; and among the derived methods are Cuban, American and English.
Although ballet exists as an autonomous piece, it is also frequently sandwiched between the scenes of an opera or a play.
On the other hand, the word is also used to account for the musical piece composed to be performed through dance, and the company that performs it.
A Beautiful Art
We must say that ballet or dance is considered one of the fine arts, being the same a series of aesthetic disciplines that developed throughout the history of humanity and were characterized by their refinement in the manifestation and expression.
They make up this group in addition to ballet, the architecture, painting, sculpture, music, literature and the movie theater.
Another issue inherent to ballet and that cannot be ignored here is that it has historically been an artistic expression associated with the elites, that is, aimed at educated public of high social level, that is, no one would ever think that an individual who comes from a low social background would be interested in the ballet.
Let's see, it could happen by exception but it is not the norm, since as we said, from its birth, it was aimed at a well-off and intellectually prepared public.
