It is known as a bike path to those parts of the street that are especially intended for people who circulate by bicycle, in order to protect them from the possible dangers that other cars can present them. A bike path is usually always a narrow section of asphalt when compared to the rest of the car lanes and it is also common that the maximum of velocity in it is less. In many cases, the bike paths take place in green spaces where cyclists are usually found, although in some cities large extensions of urban streets have spaces reserved for they.
Bicycle paths have been created in recent decades to improve the circulation of cyclists and to lower the number of accidents caused by the disorderly coexistence of vehicles and bicycles. In many cities of the world these bike paths are so important that it is a serious crime to violate their space or not respect them as part of the traffic flow. At the same time, bike paths tend to have very good asphalt to ensure the best possible ride for cyclists.
experience and allow them to enjoy their trip as much as possible. As has been said, in most cases the bike paths take place in green spaces or areas of a certain tourist or recreational importance. In this way, citizens are also encouraged to use other means of transport, enjoy the air free and lead an active lifestyle and healthy. However, many cities in Europe and developed countries have extended these access routes to bicycles in their entirety so as to always ensure a comfortable space for cyclists circulation.
