The education Special is the one that is aimed at students considered "special", either because they have giftedness or intellectual, mental or physical disabilities.
Special education is understood to be that which includes any pedagogical scenario or situation that appeals to compensate for unusual or particular needs or aspects of the students, either because they are considered gifted or have some individual gift or talent, or because they suffer from limitations or disabilities that demand a teaching different.
When it comes to gifted or gifted students, education will be dedicated to strengthening and stimulating these aspects by, for example, working with stimulating agents such as brain teasers, puzzles, crosswords, instances of creativity using musical instruments or promoting writing and many other alternatives.
In the case of those considered disabled, education will depend on the limiting conditions of each individual. For example, in the case of a blind, deaf or deaf-mute child, teaching practices will differ, seeking to bring him closer to the
learning through the use of techniques that stimulate others senses. This can also occur in cases of paralytic or quadriplegic students, who will require a particular recognition of their body and its identity. In the case of intellectual disabilities, often the use of games and recreational instances will promote the development of the psyche.Often the gifted child, as well as the disabled child, require a integration special with the rest of the students and with society as a whole, since because they are different they can be considered discriminated or self-marginalized. This is also a main mission of special education in terms of improving the bonds of the individual with his environment.
Special education is such a widespread and studied practice throughout the world that in fact there are university courses particularly aimed at training teachers in this type of teaching and didactics.
