The term embargo is a term that can be used both in the field of politics as in the one of the economy, of the Justice Or the administration, in addition to being commonly used in everyday situations. When we speak of embargo we are referring to the act by which some type of flow is limited or interrupted or communication between two parties. This is clearly visible in some historical cases in which the type of commercial flow between one part and another is cut off.
The seizure is a situation that can be applied to different subjects: a person can suffer it when, for a certain reason, their property is seized; a region of a country can suffer it, an entire country can suffer it on the part of others. Always, and whatever the reason, the embargo implies that something is being prohibited or that it is being taken away from the accused party. Thus, the embargo always represents some kind of punishment or sanction by a certain action or act generated.
One of the most symbolic cases of embargo in the world is the one currently applied to Cuba by the United States. Caused by
Cold War and because Cuba is one of the countries that supported the communist regime, the embargo (which is maintained until today) supposes the prohibition for Cuba to trade with the United States in any way or finished. In other historical moments, this embargo also extended to the Commerce of Cuba with other nations. However, the embargo is not just a political or international issue. It can also occur against subjects who are considered to have committed some type of offense or crime and must then replace the expenses incurred or the damage caused by paying with part or all of their goods. This is a clear example of the capitalist system that dominates the world from which punishments always have some kind of monetary or economic implication.
