The word inhalants allows you to name a type of volatile substances that are characterized by the production of chemical vapors, which, when inhaled, cause a psychoactive effect that usually alters the reality that is perceived.
The distinctive characteristic of this type of substances is that they are mostly inhaled, they are hardly used by any other means.
Within inhalants we can find an important variety of chemicals that coexist in household, industrial and even medical products, with which we usually interact.
There are four categories of inhalants: volatile solvents (liquids that vaporize at ambient temperatures; They are usually found among us on a daily basis, such as: paint thinners and removers, liquids intended for dry cleaning, gasoline, glue, removers grease, correction fluids and felt tip marker fluids), aerosol sprays (products that observe the presentation aerosol sprays such as: paints, deodorant and hair styling sprays, vegetable oil kitchen sprays, and fabric protection sprays),
gases (commonly found in medical anesthesia and household and commercial products: dispensers of whipped cream, butane lighters, propane gas tanks and refrigerants, among others, the most common being the ether, chloroform, halothane and nitrous oxide) Y nitrites, popularly known as poppers (The peculiarity of this type is that it dilates the blood vessels, the most common being: cyclohexyl nitrite, isobutyl nitrite, and isoamyl nitrite; we can find them frequently in the perfumes of environment, on procedures from diagnosis and they can even be diagnosed in patients with heart problems).It should be noted that those individuals who consume this type of substances undergo a very important risk of life.
