Spain is one of the countries that make up the wonderful continent European. It is located in the western region of the same and shares its geographical limits with Portugal (to the west) and with France and Andorra (to the north), at the same time that it has been surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the south and the Ocean North Atlantic. In addition, Spain also has dominion over the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands and over territories of Africa. The capital of Spain is the beautiful city of Madrid.
Spain is today one of the few countries in the world that has the presence of a monarchy established centuries ago. While the country Spanish is currently ruled by a Prime Minister, the form of government official is that of the Parliamentary Monarchy, as is also the case in the United Kingdom. Throughout time, this territory has been inhabited and conquered by countless ethnic groups such as Romans, Celts, Arabs, Germanic groups, Basques, Galicians, Catalans and many others. That is why today, Spain presents not only a profound wealth in terms of languages, art, traditions and identities, if not that it must also suffer important ethnic conflicts between the different populations that make up the country.
