Italy is a country European, located south of the continent. The territory Italian has the distinctive shape of a boot that is washed by the waters of the Mediterranean Sea as well as the inland seas of the Adriatic, the Ionian and the Tyrrhenian. At the same time, a large part of its territory is crossed from north to south by one of the most important mountain ranges important parts of Europe, the Apennines, while to the north of its territory, horizontally, we find the splendorous Mountain range of the Alps. All this means that Italy has many and very diverse climates and landscapes that go from the eternal snows to the warm beaches of the south.
The capital city of Italy is Rome, one of the most important and impressive capitals in the world where you can find monuments and tourist spots step by step. This has to do more than anything with the rich and long Italian history. Already in antiquity the Italian presence was felt throughout Europe with the
Roman empire, but this would also happen later during the Renaissance and during contemporary times with other not so pleasant phenomena, such as fascism. In the city of Rome we find fabulous and impressive constructions bequeathed from different historical periods: numerous arches of triumph, temples and pantheons, castles, parks, squares and the wonderful Colosseum, one of the most important relics of the period of splendor Roman. In political-administrative terms, Italy today is organized under a government republican and parliamentary type, in which the executive power it lies on the hands of a president and a prime minister. The Italian territory is divided into twenty regions that have a greater or lesser degree of autonomy: Lazio (seat of Rome), Veneto (Venice), Apulia (Bari), Liguria (Genoa), Sicily (Palermo), Umbria (Perugia), Trentino (Trento), Molise (Campobasso), Piedmont (Turin), Sardinia (Cagliari), Abruzzo (L'Aquila), the Valley from Aosta (Aosta), Basilicata (Potenza), Calabria (Catanzaro), Campania (Naples), Emilia-Romagna (Bologna), Lombardy (Milan), Marche (Ancona), Friuli (Trieste) and Tuscany (Florence).
