To the word avoid we find two equally widespread uses of it in the language daily.
On the one hand, we usually use the term to refer to the deviation to be taken with respect to the imminence or the already concrete presence of a danger what threat our physical life, our personal life, our work, among other orders.
It is worth mentioning, that then, to prevent danger from affecting us what human beings We tend to do almost instinctively and also making use of our reason, it is the taking of precautions. So to avoid fatal injury in the event of a road accident, as soon as I start the car I tighten my seatbelt. safety and I force the one who accompanies me to do it too.
Regarding the personal and labor the best way to avoid dangers, conflicts, friction, among others, is to get away from them, either by not showing interest in the discussion, not participating and ignoring as much as possible the one who sends us bad omens.
And on the other hand, the word avoid is used to account for the
evasion that someone shows with respect to meeting a person, a certain situation or at the request of having to develop an action, that is, when one purposely seeks to escape from a situation x, by x motivation, either because you are afraid, because you are not comfortable, because there is no interest, among other alternatives. In the meantime, that loophole can be realized through the implementation of some strategy, giving an excuse or simply moving away from the high place of conflict. Laura avoided her ex-husband all night. I avoided going through the city due to the enormous number of protest mobilizations that took place today.
It is worth noting that in both cases the purpose is to get away from dangerous, uncomfortable or negative situations.
