The tertiary is a period that began ago

It is in this period that the Alpine-Andean folding stands out (it gave rise to the Mountain range of the Andes and the Swiss Alps), the union of America North and South America, through the Central American Bridge and an important activity volcanic. The scenery of this period is similar to the one that currently surrounds us, plants with flowers, birds, and the diversification of mammals with the aforementioned extinction of the dinosaurs.
