The term misrepresent allows us to designate in our language the interpretation erroneous or disfigured words, comments, or deeds, among others. The meaning of a speech or a statement is changed voluntarily and intentionally, or not event to generate misinterpretation in the public or recipient of the message.
Many times the misrepresentation is not made on purpose but is the result of a mistake, however, the usual thing is to use it to purpose to deliberately inconvenience you.
Undoubtedly, misrepresentation is one of the most common causes of arguments and fights between people.
With the aim of distorting or confusing the real message
The fundamental mission of misrepresentation is to falsify and distort a saying or event to cause an effect totally different from that of the actual saying or event, as it happens.
People often misrepresent sayings or facts to change the meaning of what someone says and so on, for example demonstrate it in a totally different way so that others, for example, do not want it or do not follow it in some appearance. And on the other hand, people often use misrepresentation to get out of an embarrassing situation but without malicious intent, that is, the idea is to excuse yourself from something.
The misrepresentation will always imply the modification of a reality and that is why the concept is loaded with a connotation totally negative.
