Traditionally in our language the concept of tribe has been used to refer to thatsocial group whose members share uses and traditions, traditions, or a common ancestor, among other issues. So many of the most primitive peoples of our civilization they have been referred to as tribes.
Although the concept is still applied to the same, it is worth mentioning that in recent years it has been added an additional reference that has to do precisely with current times and by case call Urban Tribe to those groups of people who coincide in terms of interests, inclinations, tastes, preferences in favor of something. That is, in this case, it turns out to be the affinity that unites different people and groups them into a social group called, as we said, urban tribes.
The incorporation of the term urban in the concept has to do with the fact that these groups have their origin precisely in the large cities where they meet and share these affinities.
Generally, urban tribes come together around an interest they share, for example, the cult of a musical group or a current of this nature and they usually express and
consolidate even more that inclination that brings them together from the use of various symbols and physical signs, among them, the clothing, one of the most common. It is also worth mentioning that another characteristic of urban tribes is that they do not respond to the dominant culture, that is, they they choose to follow a set of behaviors and customs that not many follow and that is why they stand out from the collective Social.
Thus, fans of the gender musical known as dark, they are clearly recognized by their way of dressing in which black and no color predominate.
The punks are another type of urban tribe also very popular on the streets of the metropolis, showing off their semi-shaved heads with crests and wearing leather jackets and pants and wearing boots.
Unfortunately, we must also mention that this distinction and differentiation so deep that it even arises from the own members of the urban tribe towards the rest of society has generated events of sum violence and confrontations between those who belong to urban tribes who manifest opposing proposals.
