The term meekness refers to the meek qualityTherefore, it is used when you want to realize that someone or something has the characteristics of meek.
While, on the religion christian the term meekness has a special reference, since it is part of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. According to what Christian Theology maintains, the fruit is a spiritual benefit that will appear in the soul of an individual when it is close to virtue.. The aforementioned is considered as a result of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. In this sense meekness will be the totally opposite of violence.
Meanwhile, the concept presents a special participation on the Holy bible, more precisely in the Epistles of Saint Paul is where it appears first coined, in the Epistle to the Galatians, the word meekness appears at the level of qualities such as peace, the love, joy, patience, kindness, faith, temperance and goodness. Likewise, meekness reappears in all its splendor in the New TestamentWhat one of the distinctive concepts in what was the preaching of Jesus
. Meekness is one of the nine beatitudes that the Lord will mention in the sermon of the Mountain. There, Jesus said that blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth. Also, in the Gospel of Matthew the word is mentioned again to continue demonstrating the presence and importance that it presents in the word of God; there it is expressed: take my yoke upon you and learn from me that I am meek and humble heart and you will find rest for your souls.Somehow, we could say that meekness turns out to be one of the conditions to develop and observe for those who want to be a good Christian and want to go on the path of inner perfection. In opposition to meekness we find anger.
