The word maneuver has several references.
Operations aimed at driving a vehicle
One of the most used references in relation to this concept is the one that names the set of operations aimed at directing a vehicle, for example, the different operations carried out in a car to avoid hitting something, to park within the confines of a delimited space, or to avoid some imperfect terrain on which you are circulating, all of them are designated as maneuvers.
“ After several abrupt maneuvers that put in risk to the rest of the pilots, Juan was able to leave the circuit and avoid a multiple accident.”
"I had to perform a lot of maneuvers to be able to park the car in that tiny spot."
When a person is just starting to drive, parking is one of the most common difficulties.
For example, driving schools dedicate a large part of the teaching at this point, because it depends on the person obtaining the driver's license, since correct parking is one of the unavoidable tests of the exam.
Special handling that is carried out to prevent someone from finding out about something
On the other hand, special handling that is carried out to prevent someone from finding out about an issue that is certainly important and that could change the course of things is known as a maneuver.
In this sense, maneuver would be a synonym for the word intrigue.
“We had to carry out various maneuvers so that Juan does not suspect that we were the ones who hid the reports from him..”
The intrigue or maneuver is a very frequent action to be appreciated among people, especially when it is wants to deceive or hide something important to someone and that could cause a problem if, for example, discover.
By case is that always demand to be applied with intelligence and with cunning, and in a hidden way, so that it is not exposed and can be perpetrated.
Operation that is specified manually
Also, to any type of material operation that is executed through the hands it will be called a maneuver.
For example, when a person suffers from a heart attack, those actions that an individual will carry out on the person's chest, such as: pressing forcefully with both hands on it are known as resuscitation maneuvers, and formal practice is called CPR or Resuscitation Cardiopulmonary.
Everything that is done with the hands is called manual work.
It is also often spoken of artisan work because it does not imply the use of machinery but rather the elaboration of products, or the action that is executed is carried out only with the hands.
Until the Industrial Revolution this type of work predominated, then, with this event machines would prevail.
Now, we must say that beyond this, and to this day, a great privilege and value is given to those questions that are done manually.
The hands are located in the upper extremities of human beings, made up of five fingers, and are what allow us to perform the maneuvers.
They always respond to the orders that the brain sends them to act, touch, or manipulate elements.
There will always be one hand with greater capacity than the other and this has to do with the dominance that each brain hemisphere has in each person.
In the right-handed, the left hemisphere predominates, while in the left-handed the right.
Simulation of military operations that will later be put into practice in a raid
And finally to simulation of military operations, tending to anticipate some action in order to deploy the best response to this or that action, they are called maneuvers.
“The body today is on maneuvers.”
In other words, they are movements that are executed with some tactical purpose, to achieve some goal.
For its realization it is essential that battalions and squadrons and artillery pieces participate.
