By memorial it is understood to all that monument, building or edification that is erected with the main objective of exercising memory about some particular fact or event. The memorial is one of the most poetic and beautiful ways that human beings can make to remember those who have been killed in different events of greater or lesser gravity. Memorials can be infinitely different from one another - some can be small and simple sculptures, while others can occupy gigantic constructions so that anyone who passes by place I noticed them.

I respect. Many memorials can be made of materials such as metals, cement, wood or other items. But also today there are memorials made with beautiful natural elements such as trees, shrubs and flowers. The maintenance of the memorials in good condition, as well as respect for them is an essential part of the maturity and consideration that a society can show with those who are no longer there.
Among the most recognized and important memorials in the world should be mentioned the Egyptian pyramids (built in honor of different pharaohs), the monument honoring the dead Jews in Europe, (located in Berlin, Germany), the Taj Mahal (in India, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in honor of his late wife Mumtaz Mahal), the World Trade Center memorial (site of the 9 September 2001 attacks) and many others more.
