    Fable Features

    Literature   /   by admin   /   July 04, 2021

    Fables are a series of stories or literary compositions, the main ones fable characteristics is that in these stories the characters are humanized and the characters are generally animals or objects.

    They are artfully attributed the ability to speak, walk and even dress like men and their goal is to identify the characters both in their qualities of animals and in their quality of men (wise owl), so children can more easily understand the idea explained.

    It can be said that it is an exclusive genre, although it is part of stories and fictions and its writing can be done in both prose and verse and can be altered as necessary to express the moral you want to explain the author.

    There are four highly recognized authors in this genre:

    • Gaius Julius Phaedrus
    • Samaniego
    • Juan de la Fontaine
    • Aesop

    Uses and characteristics of the fable:

    Fables are used to give moral examples, mainly to children, where animals and objects assume activities and formalisms typical of the human being and thus bring to the child mind, concepts that otherwise would remain very far away; exploiting the child's imagination.

    The fables are always short and when it is not related but written it can be in verse or prose, and leads to conversations logical, as happens in written dialogues, which make the whole idea to be transmitted clear, culminating with the aforementioned moral

    Thus, returning to the initial concept, the animal or the object chosen by the writer, will keep some similarity with the character to be communicated.

    Example:

    Fox = cunning
    Owl = Intelligence
    Guacamaya = talker-a etc.
