The verboids They are non-personal forms of the verb, that is, they are not conjugated. There are three verbs: the infinitive (to know), the participle (known) and the gerund (listening).
By themselves, verboids do not express verb tenses, gender, number, or modes.
Within the sentence, they do not act as verbs but assume the function of adverbs (the gerund), nouns (the infinitive) or adjectives (the participle).
There are three types of verboids:
