In Spanish, there are many words ending in -gent, which in most cases, are adjectives. The sequence -gent contains the suffix -ente, which forms deverbal adjectives, and whose meaning is "that executes the action expressed in the base." For example: converpeople, I directedpeople, emerpeople.
Much of the adjectives ending in -gente have been lexicalized as nouns and some have even generated a feminine form (-genta). For example: directpeople, agentity, repeople.
