Let us remember the spelling rules and correct uses of v.
They are written with v:
• All inflections of the conjugation of the following verbs:
help, conserve, raise, carry, snow, observe, revolt, rain, move, resolve, see, solve, boil, serve, live.
• The inflections of the verbs to walk, be and have (and those of their compounds), conjugated in the past tense of the indicative mood, and past and future of the subjunctive mood.
Past indicative: I walked, you walked, walked, we walked, you walked, they walked.
Past subjunctive: were or were, were or were, were or were, were or were, were or were. Future subjunctive: have, have, have, have, have, have.
• All numeral adjectives ending in ava or avo: ounce, dozava, thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth, seventeenth, eighteenth, nineteenth, twentieth.
• The adjectives esdrújulos that end in voro, vago and voco: carnivore, herbivore, omnivore, noctivago, univocal, equivocal, univocal.
• The voices that carry the sound v after the syllable ad or the syllable in:
adverb, advene, warn, upstart, advent, adventitious, warning, advocation, adverse; sheath, wrap, widow, wrap, puff up and the inflections of these infinitives.
