Generally, there is confusion between the words boil, grass and yerba. Boil is a conjugation of verb "boil" (Boil water for ten minutes before drinking). Herb Y Herb are nouns that designate a small plant whose stem is not hard or the set of these plants (He threw himself to rest on the Herb/Herb).
Boil and grass are Homophones words, because they have the same sound, but their meaning and writing are different. For example: When boil the water, add the Herb to make tea.
Grass and grass are synonyms in most cases, because they have the same meaning. But if you refer to yerba mate or licorice, only yerba is used.
