In writing there may be confusion between words with nv and the words with mb. The reason is that when the letter n or the letter m are positioned at the end of a syllable acquire a very similar sound: pronounced as a labial or alveolar nasal phoneme.
Besides, the b and the v they can also be confused as they are identical sounds: the consonant b and the consonant v represent the same phoneme / b /, a sound voiced bilabial consonant.
For example, in the words winter or doorbell the m and the n go to the end of the syllablewinter; doorbell) and are pronounced similarly. Likewise, the sound of the b and of the v is very similar (both are voiced bilabial sounds)
