The tonic words are the words that they have a prosodic accent, which is represented in some words by means of a graphic accent (´). The accent is the greater strength or enhancement with which one syllable is pronounced with respect to the rest of the syllables. One of the syllables of the tonic word will be enunciated with greater relief:

Classification of stressed words

Tonic words are classified according to their stress in:
