In Spanish, words ending in -gioso and -giosa are rare and are usually adjectives, male or female, derived from nouns. For example: litigioso (derived from litigation), religioso (derived from religion), countgiosa(derived from contagion).
All adjectives ending in -gioso and -giosa are always written with the letters and not with the letter Z.
