A analytical paragraph It is a paragraph where we present a main idea, placed at the beginning, and in the following sentences we present the arguments to support, explain or demonstrate that idea. I know difference from synthetic paragraph In the latter, the argumentation is presented first and the main idea is presented last.
You can also combine both forms, forming a analytical paragraph - synthetic.
Analytical paragraph example:
Computation is an invaluable educational tool, which many professors and teachers still resist. As early as Skinner's experiments, it was shown that many students were capable of learning without the need for a teacher; these learning machines were mechanical instruments, so they were not very interactive. Obviously the teachers' union was strongly opposed to the introduction of the learning machine. However Skinner recognized that in education, the human factor is very important, above any apparatus; he said that "The teacher who can be replaced by a machine deserves to be replaced by it." The popularization of computers in the 1980s and 1990s, the simplification of programs and environments, and finally the generalization of the Internet during the last two decades, make it undeniable that computing and the Internet are sources of knowledge universal, almost available to anyone, with the advantage that they are available almost anywhere, and at any time of the day. It is because of them that more than a century after Skinner's experiments, many teachers still resist the integration of new technologies in education.
