The words ending in -sis are generally nouns that refer to pathologies, diseases or rhetorical figures. For example: neurosis, arthrosis, prolepsis.
Many of these nouns are formed by adding the suffix -sis, which gives them a meaning of "disease" or "irregular state". For example: soriasistubersis. But there are some nouns that do not add this suffix. For example: analysissis, crisis.
With a few exceptions, words ending in -sis are always written with S and almost all are feminine. For example: mesis, dermatosis. But there are some that are male. For example: orsis, apocalypsesis.
