It is known as a modifier to words or phrases that act by modifying the core of the subject in a sentence, complementing its meaning. Between the modifiers From the nucleus of the subject, there are the articles and adjectives that accompany the noun nucleus of the subject, define it and agree with it in gender and number. To these modifiers they are called modifiers direct.
When the modifiers they complement the core of the subject and can exchange their place, they are called apposition.
When the modifiers are attached to the nucleus of the subject by a preposition, then they are modifiers indirect. These can be of subordinate preposition, with which the nucleus is complemented, or, comparative, with which the complement is contrasted to highlight the subject.
