The words ending in -erno they can be nouns, adjectives or verbs. In Spanish there are very few words that end with these letters. For example: materno, alterno, gobierno.
Some of the nouns and adjectives are derived from other nouns and adjectives, by adding the suffix -erno, which is used to designate belonging or relationship with something. For example: fraterno, externo.
But there are also other nouns and adjectives that end in -erno, but do not add this suffix. For example: cuerno, youerno.
As for the verbs, have these letters at the end those whose infinitive ends in -ernar and they are conjugated in:
