Mini- prefix

The prefixmini-, of Latin origin, is used to indicate that something is very small, tiny or brief. It usually accompanies nouns, decreasing its size or dimension. For example: miniGolf (small golf),miniskirt (short skirt).

The opposite prefixes are mega-, Super- which mean to say "large."
