The strict synonyms there are two or more words that have a practically identical meaning to each other. Spanish is one of the most extensive languages that exist in the world due to the multiplicity and flexibility of its words. It has different syntagmatic elements that make up and enrich the language. However, there is a phenomenon that is not exclusive to the Spanish language but usually causes many conflicts between people who are learning the language, whether they are foreigners or students in the first level of formal language learning: the synonyms.
The synonyms are words that have a meaning wholly or partially identical to another word but they are written differently. That is, they are used to name or refer to something in two different ways. Within the classification of synonyms there are two types: partial synonyms and strict synonyms.
The partial synonyms They are that they mean almost the same but not totally. The meaning of each synonym has different nuances or connotations that can be used in different situations. This is also related to the conception that each individual has of the words and the context in which the words are enunciated.
An example of partial synonyms are the words beautiful Y handsome. There are people who have different scales of meaning for these words, therefore it is impossible that they have exactly the same meaning. Another example is the words home Y home. While the first is understood as the building where one or more people can live without sharing any type of bond, the second has a connotation more attached to the family environment. These cannot be strict synonyms either.
On the other hand, full or strict synonyms they are the opposite. These synonyms are all those words that have the same meaning in all linguistic contexts: syntax, semantics and praxis. Both words are understood in the same way. Therefore, the terms in question are interchangeable. Two strict synonyms can be used interchangeably without altering the meaning of a sentence. It may be the case that one of the two words that make up the synonyms is more used than the other or that one sounds more cultured than the other but essentially the two can be interspersed without any real affectation to the sense of the prayer.
Strict synonyms are very rare within the language.
We are talking about two words that can be exchanged without affecting the meaning. Most synonyms are partial; they are not identical but similar and have a minimal difference in meaning. Its use depends on the context in which it is stated and the nuance of meaning required. They do not mean the same thing in all contexts, for example, pain Y pain. They can work the same way in some cases; but in others, its use will depend on the intention of the sentence.
A case of full or strict synonyms is given when exchanging proper names (the names that designate specific beings) with the personal pronouns that correspond to them (he, she, we, them, etc.). For example in the following sentences:
- “Carlos she told me that tomorrow we would go with Sara to eat"
- “He she told me that tomorrow we would go with her to eat".
The content of the message within both sentences remains the same even though the proper names were exchanged for personal pronouns.
Let's look at other examples of strict synonyms:
Abacial - Abadengo
Husband
Mom - Mother
Dad Father
Now we will use these synonyms to incorporate them within the same sentence so that we can see how is that the meaning does not undergo any change despite the fact that the indicated word has been changed by its strict synonym:
- Abadengo It is one of the different species of manor that were formerly known in the towns of Spain.
- Abbatial It is one of the different species of manor that were formerly known in the towns of Spain.

There are times when words have a strict synonym; however, they can also have a contextual synonym. As in the case of dad, which not only refers to the merely paternal sense, but also to an ecclesiastical figure in other contexts.
