In Spanish, there are many words with the vowels A, E and O that precede the consonant P, but very few with I and U. For example: aproximado, epcall me, iperita, option, upto.
Although there are some words that contain a vowel followed by the P in the same syllable (for example: op- you - mo), there are many that contain these sequences but in different syllables (for example: e - pí - lo - go).
