A word family It is a group of words that share the same lexeme or root. Also called "lexical families", they are made up of primitive words (school) and their derived words: scholar, carschoolto, schoolita.
In this case, the lexeme or root is school- or esco-, depending on how you follow the term. Adding morphemes, you can form derived words, for example:
carschoolto | scholariego | scholasticism |
scholar | scholarization | schoolace |
scholark | scholburn | schoolita |
scholares | scholastic | extrascholar |
scholarity | scholaesthetically | prscholar |
