When writing an article or book, a certain type of text is used depending on the topic being discussed.

There are many varieties of social texts, one of their classifications depends on the format in which they are written, among the different types of these are the following:

The narratives that are used to tell a series of events that happened in a timeline.

The descriptive ones that reflect a characteristic or custom of a person or social group. Unlike narration, the timeline is not important, although it can be used to put the subject of writing in context.

Argumentative texts that are those that speak for or against a certain situation or fact, in this type of social texts the author exposes his arguments to qualify a specific issue.
