Verbal Tense Example

The verbal tense It is a grammatical category that has the function of indicating the moment in which an action is carried out that carries out the verbal act.

Called simple times if they express with a single word the action as in -we eat--; and they are called compound times when we say -We have eaten—

In many places in America the principles used by Don Andrés Bello are used.

Verb tenses:

1. Present time is where the message is expressed
   Talk, Walk, Dance ...
2. Past time It is in which what has already happened is expressed
   He spoke, He walked, He danced ...
3. Future time it is in which what is about to happen is expressed
   He will speak, Walk, Dance ...

Simple verb tenses of the indicative mood

Present

1. I take the medicine
2. I am barefoot
3. The musician plays

Copreterite or past imperfect

1. They awaited his arrival
2. We always ate together.
3. I did not know what to say.

Preterite or simple past perfect

1. He corrected his works well
2. You perfectly arranged the merchandise.

Future

1. You will not buy anything without money
2. They will run twice a day
3. We won't eat much

Verb tenses composed of the indicative mood:

Pre-present or past perfect compound

1. The lady has come out.
2. We have finished the job.
3. They have come to fix it

Preterite or past perfect

1. They had their assistants working
2. You had not intervened
3. We had achieved excellent gratification

Prefuture or perfect future.

1. You will already know your qualifications
2. I won't be ready before nine
3. By then, she will have given birth

Preterite or past preterite.

1. As soon as they had eaten, they fell asleep
2. As soon as we have received the orders, we fill them and forward them.
3. He fell asleep as soon as the noise had stopped.

Compound verb tenses in subjunctive mood:

Present or past perfect

Preterite or past perfect

Prefuture or perfect future

Verb tenses of the imperative mood:

The imperative mode is the simplest and children learn it from the age of two because the older ones always give them orders, and they repeat them. Just keep in mind:

3. Hand over your ticket.
