    Sentences with Indirect Complement

    The indirect compliment or indirect object is a syntactic element that refers towards whom or to that the action of the verb. For example: I bought him a cell phone to my niece.

    Every indirect object (IC) is in the predicate of the sentence and answer the questionsTo who?, ¿To what? orFor whom? Continuing with the previous example, the question should be:To who did I buy a cell phone? And the answer is the indirect object or indirect object: to my niece.

    It is important to remember that while the direct object or direct complement is only present in sentences with Transitive verbs, the indirect object or object can appear both in sentences with transitive or intransitive verbs.
