20 Examples of Virtues and Defects

The concepts of virtue and defect are associated with most of the disciplines linked to human behavior in society, from the flat Moral and ethic as from the angle of the religion. For example: patience, justice, evil, selfishness.
The Catholic Church dedicates a large number of passages to the concept of virtue, and in one of them it states that 'The end of the virtuous life is to become like God. '.
The virtues, in the life of man, are what allows him to reach the maximum potential that he has as a man on earth. Christianity, after classifying the seven deadly sins, also identified the seven virtues that would enable believers to stay away from evil: faith, temperance, fortitude, justice, prudence, charity and hope are the so-called Christian virtues.
Virtues
Of course the virtue it is not limited to a theological definition. Since in the Greek worldview the valuation of man begins to prevail, it is that virtue is also conceived as the excellence and fullness achievable by man.
Socrates and Plato contributed much to the
greek view of virtue, which they synthesized with a series of questions in which the subject intervenes rather chronologically: wisdom allows him to identify the actions are correct, courage allows you to carry them out without fear of retaliation, and self-control allows you to permanently take a notion of the impact of what is being doing.The call 'virtue ethics' is a school of thought in regard to morality that affirms that the origin of human morality is not in the rules or in the result of the act, but rather in some internal traits of the person that later affect the way of relating to others.
An additional characterization that is made of virtue does not have much to do with the philosophical or religious views of the term. In the everyday, with the name of virtue, all the actions that a person can perform efficiently are known: any quality that can be carried out successfully is called virtue, regardless of the ethical sense of the case.

Defects
A default it is a lack of virtues and qualities. The ideas of defect and virtue, in some cases, constitute a logical opposition that can be thought that the existence of only one would suffice, because whoever does not have virtue immediately has the default. In other cases, there is an intermediate in which you may not have the virtue, but not the defect, either.
With greater force than in the case of virtue, the category of defects has been extended and with it is enough to characterize anything that is wrong, in any field.
Objects that have a defect have a defect, while the human body that does not conform to a certain pattern of Beauty agreed by many people also has a defect, something that people who have a problem in some organ that can affect physical illnesses or ailments.
The moral defects they are the issues that keep people from the good, and that widespread have a very negative implication for society as a whole. The concentration of religion to promote virtue many times brought with it a repudiation of faulty actions, with a sanction provided in each case.
