Articles are a type of adjective that we use to refer to a word, noun, an adjective or an adverb. There are two types of articles: definite articles and indefinite articles.
Definite article.
It is the article that we use to refer to a specific subject. The definite article in English is "the"; It does not have a plural form and neither does it change gender, so its meaning depends on the context in which it is used. Equivalent to articles in Spanish el, la, los and las.
The most important rules for using the definite article in English are the following:
· The definite article will always be used with a common noun:
The dog and the cat are playing together.
The playground looks great.
· We will always use the article the, to refer to a person only by title or profession; and when we mention the person's name and his profession to distinguish him from other people:

· We will use the article the to refer to a family:

· We will use the article with the proper names of geographical places, rivers, mountains, seas, deserts, etc .:

· We will also use the article the with the proper names of constructions, bridges, buildings, parks, restaurants, etc .:

Indefinite adjectives in English are those we use to refer to any object, without pointing to one in particular. The most used indefinite articles are to Y an, and used much less frequently, one. These articles are used in the singular.
Main rules for using indefinite articles in English.
· The indefinite article to it will be used before words that begin with a consonant or consonant sound; the indefinite article an will be used before words that begin with a vowel or with a vowel sound:
