The symbols ">" (major) and " are elements that are used in mathematics to indicate that one value is greater or less than another. These two signs are used to designate inequality and the opening always points to the larger number and the ending or tip to the smaller number.
For instance: 16> 12 (16 is greater than 12), 7 <11 (7 is less than 11), 134> 132 (134 is greater than 132).
The symbol ≥ indicates that the number in front of the symbol is “greater than or equal” than the number behind it. On the contrary, the symbol ≤ it means that the number in front is "less than or equal" to the number behind. These symbols are used for mathematical formulas and not so much for numbers.
