The digraph LL is the fourteenth letter of the alphabet because it represents a single sound. In Spanish, there are many words that begin with LL (llbird, llpray, llgrape), containing LL (fitsllo, gallina, hallar) and ending in LL, although the latter is a rare case and, in general, these are terms imported from other languages (he hasll, grill).
